
New Delhi, March 31: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on Tuesday, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation for several projects. He will also inaugurate the Samrat Samprati Museum at Koba Tirth on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.
In a post on his official X account, PM Modi announced that projects worth ₹20,000 crore will be launched or have their foundation stones laid in Vav-Tharad. This includes the inauguration of the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway and the Himatnagar-Khedbrahma gauge conversion project.
Additionally, significant urban health service projects will be inaugurated in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. The tourism sector will see the launch of projects like the light and sound show at Rani Ki Vav in Patan and a water screen projection show at Sharmistha Lake in Vadnagar. Two major water supply projects, the Kasara-Dantivada pipeline in Banaskantha and the Dindrol-Mukteshwar pipeline in Patan and Banaskantha, will also be inaugurated.
PM Modi highlighted the inauguration of the Kains Semiconductor Plant in Sanand, where commercial production will commence. This initiative aims to position India as a hub in the semiconductor sector and enhance self-reliance in high-tech manufacturing.
On March 31, coinciding with Mahavir Jayanti, the Samrat Samprati Museum at Koba Tirth will be inaugurated. This museum features seven sections dedicated to India’s glorious history and culture, showcasing numerous rare artifacts, Jain sculptures, and traditional heritage collections. It reflects the excellence of Jain culture and the contributions of Jainism to humanity.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation for a water supply scheme for Ambaji and nearby rural areas. This project will provide drinking water to 34 villages in the Danta and Amirgarh talukas of Banaskantha district and benefit approximately 150,000 people. He will also lay the foundation for three Sabarmati Riverfront development projects in Gandhinagar, built with a joint investment of around ₹1,000 crore.
In Ahmedabad, PM Modi will inaugurate a government boys’ hostel in Vejalpur, which will support tribal students pursuing higher education.
