New Delhi, August 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a special moment from the morning of August 15, India’s Independence Day. Before heading to the Red Fort, he took time to feed cows and peacocks at his residence.
On Sunday afternoon, PM Modi posted a video on Instagram showcasing his interactions with peacocks and Punganur cows at his official residence. In the video, he is seen feeding the small-sized native cows and gently petting them. He also fed the peacocks by hand.
He mentioned that the animals seemed to sense his early departure for the national event. Therefore, he visited them before leaving for the ceremony.
In his Instagram post, PM Modi wrote, “Feeding my ‘friends’ every morning is part of my daily routine. Yesterday morning (August 15), they somehow realized that I was leaving early, so when I was heading to the Red Fort, they came to meet me. It was special, as always.”
Notably, the Prime Minister is often seen with peacocks during his morning walks and exercises at his residence. He also keeps rare, native, small-sized cows, which have drawn significant public attention and often go viral on social media.
The breed mentioned in connection with PM Modi includes the small-sized cows from Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh. This breed is considered one of the smallest in the world, with heights ranging from just 70 to 90 centimeters.
