New Delhi, August 7: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with MPs from the NDA on Friday morning at his residence. This included rebel MPs from the Trinamool Congress who have joined the NCP, as well as members from the Shiv Sena (UBT) who have aligned with Eknath Shinde’s faction. NCP MP Shatabdi Roy shared insights about the meeting, noting that the Prime Minister engaged warmly with all attendees and discussed parliamentary responsibilities in detail.
Speaking to reporters outside Parliament, Shatabdi Roy stated, “The Prime Minister had a warm conversation with everyone and discussed various topics extensively. We all sat together over tea, and he emphasized that each person’s contribution is vital. He also talked about the plans and efforts being made for the development of their respective constituencies. All our MPs were present.”
This invitation was extended to newly inducted Lok Sabha MPs in the NDA, including those from the NCP. These MPs are the rebel Trinamool Congress members who have joined the NCP and are supporting the NDA.
The meeting also included Lok Sabha MPs who recently separated from Shiv Sena (UBT) to join Eknath Shinde’s faction.
This discussion was part of the Prime Minister’s ongoing meetings with MPs, aimed at enhancing coordination within the ruling coalition and promoting greater participation in parliamentary work. The meeting provided MPs with an opportunity to share their thoughts and discuss issues related to governance, development, and public welfare.
This gathering followed a breakfast meeting on Wednesday, where Prime Minister Modi maintained contact with BJP MPs during the monsoon session of Parliament.
The informal meeting was organized to discuss governance and parliamentary matters while strengthening coordination among the party and its allies.
According to sources, the Prime Minister shared personal experiences with the MPs and engaged in informal discussions on various issues.
Attendees from Wednesday’s meeting included BJP MPs associated with the NCP alliance, former AAP leaders who joined the BJP, and senior BJP leaders like Tarun Chugh, Vinod Tawde, and BJP President Nitin Naveen.
During the discussions, Prime Minister Modi advised MPs to avoid getting trapped in the “narrative web of Delhi” and to maintain good relations with opposition members.
Emphasizing the importance of active participation in parliamentary proceedings, the Prime Minister urged MPs to utilize their time effectively for “learning” and “working towards the bright future of the country.”
