Sahibganj, October 18 (Daily Kiran) : A shocking incident unfolded in Sahibganj district, Jharkhand, on Sunday morning when the bodies of a newlywed couple were discovered, stirring alarm in the community. The couple was identified as 26-year-old Vikram Saha and his wife, Mamuni Basak. Vikram was found hanging in their home in Maheshbathan, while Mamuni’s body lay bloodied on the floor.

Preliminary reports suggest that Vikram used a sharp weapon to kill his wife before taking his own life. Local authorities are currently investigating the case. The couple had been married for about six months, following an inter-caste wedding.

According to police, the events transpired late Saturday night. Concerns arose when Vikram’s younger brother, Prashant Saha, noticed the door to their room had not been opened for an unusually long time.
