Chirag Paswan Condemns Foreign Interference in Indias Internal Affairs

Union Minister Chirag Paswan expresses sorrow over recent incidents in Bengal and emphasizes the need for domestic matters to remain free from foreign influence.

Patna, October 18 (Daily Kiran) : Union Minister Chirag Paswan expressed profound sorrow over the recent tragedy at a Durga Puja pandal in West Bengal, where a stampede resulted in multiple casualties. He noted that Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have canceled their scheduled programs in light of the incident.

Responding to the notice directing actor Imran Khan to leave India, Paswan stated that while he supports peaceful protests by Indian citizens, foreign nationals must not interfere in India’s internal matters. He emphasized that participation by non-citizens in domestic protests is unacceptable, particularly amid concerns about foreign influence in such events.

Addressing the stampede in Kolkata, Paswan described it as a tragic event that claimed several lives and left many injured. He mentioned that the Chief Minister is personally overseeing the situation. He extended his prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured and for peace for the departed souls, offering strength to their grieving families.

In light of a recent boat capsizing in the Ganges River near Raghopur, which resulted in the deaths of 13 individuals, Paswan stated that he does not wish to politicize the issue. He acknowledged his personal responsibility for the safety of the area, which falls within his parliamentary constituency. He pledged to ensure that such incidents do not recur, taking accountability for any occurrences during his term.

Paswan concluded by reaffirming his commitment to his constituents, promising to address any shortcomings and work towards improvements in the region.
