Parag Tyagi Remembers Late Wife Shefali Jariwala on First Death Anniversary

Mumbai, June 18: Actor Parag Tyagi has shared an emotional tribute to his late wife, actress Shefali Jariwala, on her first death anniversary. In a heartfelt Instagram video, he expressed that he continues to remember her deeply.

In the video, Parag stated, “According to the Hindu calendar, today marks one year since Pari (Shefali) left her body. From today, I have begun a 21-day spiritual practice at Brahma Muhurta. My intention for all the practices I have done so far has been the same: that any merit, light, or fruit I receive should first go to Pari.”

He further added, “The intention of this practice is also that its fruits reach my wife. Many believe that love comes from the body, but I believe love comes from the soul. A bond with the soul never breaks. That is why she is still with us. I feel her presence, and I am sure you all feel it too. Continue to love her as you did before and keep praying for her.”

Over the past year, Parag has also engaged in various social causes in memory of his wife, participating in donation and service-related events.

Reflecting on their love story, Parag and Shefali first met at a party through mutual friends. Although they did not know each other initially, their conversation blossomed into friendship. Shefali once mentioned in an interview that she rarely attended parties but went that day at her friends’ insistence, leading to Parag’s entry into her life.

As they began to meet more frequently, their connection deepened through conversations over coffee, dinner, and long drives. Eventually, they decided to spend their lives together and married in 2014 with family approval. Tragically, Shefali passed away suddenly on June 27 at the age of 42 due to a cardiac arrest.
