New Delhi, August 2: During a protest in the Parliament complex regarding the Ayodhya Ram Temple donation theft case, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale expressed strong disapproval of independent MP Rajesh Ranjan, also known as Pappu Yadav, wearing saffron attire. Athawale stated that while Yadav has every right to voice his demands as an MP, such demonstrations or drama in the Parliament premises are inappropriate.
In a conversation in New Delhi, Athawale emphasized that the government has made it clear that those found guilty in the Ram Temple donation theft case will face strict punishment.
Referring to CJP founder Abhijit Dipke, Athawale remarked that he believes Dipke is from their community. Dipke went to the U.S. for a two-year course and remained there even after completing it. Later, he formed the ‘Cockroach People’s Party’ and raised important issues like the paper leak scandal, which affected many students across the country. Many students who had prepared well fell into deep despair, and some even took drastic steps. CJP received support nationwide regarding this issue.
Athawale stated that Dipke should refrain from making false statements. Many of his demands have already been met. He explained that the police resorted to lathi charge only when the protesters became aggressive. There was no such situation during the peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar. Opposition leaders incited students, and the movement, which was peaceful, should have concluded peacefully as well.
He also mentioned that protesters attacked police personnel, resulting in injuries to both senior officers and constables. If Abhijit Dipke wishes to enter politics and accepts the NDA ideology, he is welcome to join his party. Athawale stated that he follows the ideology of Baba Saheb Ambedkar, which also inspires Dipke, so he can join in the future if he wishes.
Regarding Prime Minister Modi’s video message to students, Athawale stated that if any student used abusive language, it is entirely wrong. The Prime Minister has accepted the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan and fulfilled the students’ demands. However, using abusive language is not appropriate. The Prime Minister has shown great magnanimity, stating that no action should be taken against students. Students should also understand that under the Prime Minister’s leadership, the country is progressing rapidly.
