New Delhi, August 2: During a recent protest organized by the CJP in Delhi, several students, particularly young women, used derogatory language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Videos of the incident have gone viral on social media. One identified girl, along with her mother and lawyer, shared her perspective in an interview.
The girl stated that the incident occurred on July 23. “I went to the protest, and there were different groups present. I was asked to speak, and they told me that I had the freedom to express myself. Now, the video has gone viral,” she explained.
She admitted, “I spoke very wrongly. I realize this now, and I will keep apologizing until I receive forgiveness.” The girl also claimed that the FIR filed against her contains inaccuracies regarding her name, age, and address. “I am 15 years old. I want action taken against those who made false accusations,” she added.
The girl revealed that she has been receiving threats, including threats of sexual violence. “The police are still coming to my house, searching for me as if I committed a serious crime. I cannot bear this. It is significant that PM Modi has forgiven me,” she remarked.
She expressed surprise at receiving forgiveness from the very person she insulted. “I did not expect this. It was not done intentionally; many people were inciting me. I was told that the video would not be shared,” she said.
The girl’s mother clarified that her daughter is not 25 years old, as stated in the FIR, and that she was born on August 1, 2011. “PM Modi’s forgiveness shows his greatness and decency. Forgiveness is a step towards guiding children in the right direction,” she stated.
The mother also mentioned that they have been receiving threats and abuse on social media. “My daughter made a mistake, but the responses have been excessive. I would have been proud if my daughter had become a soldier and sacrificed for the country,” she said.
She pleaded for the FIR to be withdrawn, emphasizing the need for safety. “I want PM Modi to adopt my daughter and provide us with a safe place to live. My daughter deserves her rights. Her father is no longer with us, and we cannot stay where we used to live. If something happens to us now, anti-social elements will blame the Prime Minister,” she added.
The girl’s lawyer, Anil Kumar, stated, “I have read the FIR, and it is incorrect. The name and age are wrong. She does not work in a salon. The FIR was filed without proper investigation. The girl is remorseful for her mistake, and PM Modi’s forgiveness is noted. Legal proceedings will continue.”
