NDMC Hosts Successful Grievance Camp in New Delhi, Resolving 80 Complaints

New Delhi, August 1: The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) held a grievance camp on Saturday, where 80 public complaints were received. Over 100 officials from various departments acted promptly on these issues.

An official stated that most complaints pertained to personnel, civil engineering, horticulture, public health, enforcement, commerce, tax, and property departments.

The camp reinforced NDMC’s commitment to transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric governance. It took place at the NDCC Convention Centre on Jais Singh Road in Connaught Place.

According to the statement, the camp served as an effective single-window platform for residents and service users to gather information, register complaints, and engage directly with senior officials for quick resolutions.

Additionally, many citizens visited the camp to seek guidance and information regarding various civic services and welfare initiatives implemented by NDMC.

A key highlight of the camp was the face-to-face interaction between citizens and departmental officials, which facilitated immediate understanding of public concerns and expedited the resolution process.

Officials reported that issues requiring policy-level discussions were also addressed, and citizens were informed about the established procedures and expected timelines for resolution.

More than 100 officials and staff from 30 departments participated in the grievance camp, ensuring coordinated and timely complaint resolution.

The assistance desk was personally supervised by the respective department heads, reflecting NDMC’s emphasis on accountability, transparency, and efficient public service delivery.

As part of its ongoing digital governance initiatives, NDMC continues to enhance its ‘Public Convenience Portal,’ which offers a contactless online complaint resolution system. This system enables residents and service users to register complaints, track their status, and provide feedback post-resolution.
