Out of Delhi Warriors Triumph in DPL 2026 with Stellar Performance

New Delhi, August 16: The Out of Delhi Warriors secured a thrilling victory against Old Delhi 6 by 21 runs in the 29th match of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026 on Sunday. With five wins out of seven matches, the Out of Delhi Warriors climbed to second place in the DPL 2026 points table, while Old Delhi 6 slipped to third after losing three out of eight matches.

Batting first after losing the toss at Arun Jaitley Stadium, the Out of Delhi Warriors posted a formidable total of 219 runs, losing five wickets. Priyansh Arya and Yajus Sharma formed a remarkable partnership, scoring 120 runs for the first wicket in just 9.1 overs. Priyansh contributed 30 runs off 21 balls before being dismissed. Shortly after, Yajus Sharma also fell, scoring 86 runs off 36 balls, which included five sixes and ten fours.

The team faced some challenges, losing four wickets before reaching a score of 150. However, Harsh Tyagi and Akshay Saini rallied together, adding 55 runs for the fifth wicket in just 27 balls, helping the team reach a double century. Harsh scored 32 runs off 15 balls with four boundaries, while Akshay remained unbeaten with 49 runs off 23 balls, hitting three sixes and three fours. On the bowling side, Digvijesh Rathi took the most wickets for Old Delhi 6, claiming three, while Uddhav Mohan and Lalit Yadav each took one.

In response, Old Delhi 6 managed to score only 198 runs, losing six wickets in their allotted overs. Aryan Goud and Samarth Seth provided a solid start, with the opening pair adding 108 runs in 53 balls. Samarth scored 42 runs off 24 balls, including two sixes and four fours, before the team lost three wickets, leaving them at 119 runs. Aryan played a remarkable innings, scoring 65 runs off 37 balls with ten boundaries.

Lalit Yadav contributed with partnerships, adding 27 runs with Dev Lakra for the fourth wicket and 32 runs with Ashwini Chhillar for the fifth wicket. Despite Pankaj Jaiswal’s late surge, scoring 18 runs off five balls with three sixes, it was not enough for victory. Aman Chaudhary was the standout bowler for the opposition, taking four wickets, while Harsh Tyagi claimed three.
