New Delhi, March 15: On the occasion of social reformer Kanshi Ram’s birth anniversary, several prominent opposition leaders, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, paid their respects. Kharge emphasized that Kanshi Ram’s contributions to the fight for social justice and equality will always be inspiring.
In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Kharge stated, “The great social reformer Kanshi Ram organized the Dalit, marginalized, and backward classes, securing them a respectable place in Indian politics. His contributions to the struggle for social justice and equality will always be inspiring. On his birth anniversary, we pay our humble tribute.”
Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also shared her thoughts, saying, “On the birth anniversary of Kanshi Ram, a champion of social justice and a strong voice for the Dalit, marginalized, and oppressed communities, I pay my respects. Through his thoughts and movements, Kanshi Ram elevated the constitutional principles of equality and justice. His ideas will continue to inspire us all.”
Aakash Anand, the national coordinator of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), posted, “On the birth anniversary of the messiah of the Bahujan society, the founder of BSP, BAMCEF, and DS4, I bow down in reverence. Today is a day to reaffirm our commitment to continue the mission movement initiated by Maharaj Saheb. His social transformation movement has given a new direction to the country, empowering millions of backward, oppressed, and marginalized people politically.”
He added, “Today, as organizations like Congress, BJP, and SP seek to distort Maharaj Saheb’s ideas for their political gain, we must listen to Kanshi Ram’s thoughts and pledge to continue the Bahujan movement, strengthening the BSP under Mayawati’s leadership to gain the master key to power.”
Earlier, BSP supremo Mayawati also paid tribute to Kanshi Ram on his birth anniversary. She wrote, “On the birth anniversary of Kanshi Ram, the founder of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), I extend my heartfelt homage on behalf of his followers across Uttar Pradesh and the entire country. Kanshi Ram dedicated his life to keeping the ideology and movement of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar alive and advancing his caravan towards the goal of power.”
Mayawati urged the Bahujan community to join the BSP movement, becoming committed and honest Ambedkarites to secure the ‘master key’ to power with their voting strength. She stated that this would ensure the rights granted by Babasaheb for the welfare, upliftment, and dignity of the Bahujans are implemented on the ground.
