Opposition Criticizes Government Over Rising LPG Prices Amid Global Tensions

New Delhi, March 23: Political activity has intensified in response to ongoing conflicts in West Asia. Leaders from various parties have raised serious concerns regarding the central government’s policies, rising inflation, and national security.

Congress MP Rajeev Shukla expressed his worries about the war in West Asia, stating that it must cease under any circumstances. He highlighted the direct impact of international tensions on India, particularly the rising fuel prices, which have placed an additional burden on the common people. Shukla attributed the economic strain to the government’s flawed foreign policy.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi emphasized the need for a statement from the Prime Minister in Parliament. She argued that if the Prime Minister openly discusses the current situation and potential challenges, the public will receive accurate information, dispelling any confusion.

Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh questioned the timing of a CCS meeting chaired by the Prime Minister. He asked why this meeting had not been convened earlier and why the government failed to take timely action. Singh accused other nations of negotiating with Iran to secure their vessels, while India did not, thereby putting the country at risk.

Samajwadi Party MP Rajeev Rai also criticized the government, urging clarity on the whereabouts and safety of Indian students sent to Israel. He questioned the lack of relief during previous drops in crude oil prices and the current price hikes.

In the meantime, AAP MP Raghav Chadha raised an important issue during Zero Hour, relevant to all mobile phone users. He suggested that unused data from daily limits, such as 1.5 GB, 2 GB, or 3 GB, should roll over to the next day after midnight.

Chadha also mentioned his ongoing concerns related to civil aviation, advocating for affordable and comfortable air travel for the common man. He noted that airfares should not become so expensive that people are unable to fly.
