Oppo and OnePlus to Increase Smartphone Prices Starting March 16

Mumbai, March 10: Oppo has announced a price increase for select smartphones starting March 16. This decision comes as the company faces rising component costs, particularly for memory and storage, as detailed in a notice on its official online store.

Oppo stated that the price adjustment follows a “careful evaluation” of the escalating costs of essential components, including high-speed storage hardware. The new pricing will take effect at 12:00 a.m. on March 16, 2026.

The price hike is limited to budget phones for the time being

This adjustment will impact several devices within Oppo’s lineup. Specifically, models from the Oppo A series and K series will see price changes. Additionally, OnePlus phones will also be included in this adjustment.

However, not all product lines will be affected. Oppo confirmed that its premium devices, such as the Find series and Reno series, will maintain their current prices for now. Furthermore, the Oppo Pad series tablets will not be included in this price adjustment.

Oppo emphasized that this step is essential to uphold product quality and enhance the overall user experience, despite rising supply costs. Memory and storage components are among the most costly parts of modern smartphones, with prices subject to fluctuations based on global demand and supply conditions.

This price adjustment is part of a broader trend. Other smartphone brands, including Vivo and Xiaomi, have indicated or already implemented similar price hikes due to increased component costs. For example, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi recently raised the price of the Redmi Turbo 5 by 100 yuan in China, while Samsung has also increased the prices of Galaxy phones in India.
