Only Hindus Have the Right to Speak About Ram Temple: Acharya Pramod Krishnam

Moradabad, July 11: Spiritual leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam stated on Saturday that the right to discuss the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple and Lord Ram belongs exclusively to Hindus. He asserted that opposition parties have no moral authority to comment on the temple, as they have never supported its construction.

In an interview with a news agency, Acharya Pramod Krishnam emphasized, “The right to speak about the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple and Lord Ram is solely for Hindus. The opposition has no right to comment on the temple because they have never backed its construction.”

Targeting opposition parties, he claimed they are attempting to exploit the Ram Temple issue for political gain ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. He noted that whether it is the Congress, the Samajwadi Party, or the entire opposition, they are trying to mislead and divide Hindus to win the 2027 elections. He believes that if Hindus remain united, the opposition will not succeed in the upcoming elections.

Supporting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s statement that previous governments planned attacks on temples, Acharya Pramod Krishnam agreed with the Chief Minister. He stated that as the elections approach, the Samajwadi Party seems to think it can win by dividing Hindus. He remarked that attacking temples has been a habit of the Samajwadi Party, making the Chief Minister’s comments valid.

In response to Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav’s claim that Sanatan Dharma and socialism are the same, Acharya Pramod Krishnam argued that Yadav has no connection to the ideals of socialism. He compared the relationship between Ram Manohar Lohia and Akhilesh Yadav to that of Mahatma Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

Discussing the alleged guidelines from the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding ‘Vande Mataram‘, he described the slogan as a symbol of India’s freedom struggle. He stated, “’Vande Mataram’ is the voice of India’s soul. We fought for freedom with this slogan. It is a matter of pride for every Indian, and everyone should recite it. Anyone who believes in India will say ‘Vande Mataram’. The guidelines from the Home Ministry will strengthen the nation and enhance the spirit of Indianness.”

Responding to controversial comments made by Sajid Rashidi, President of the All India Imam Association, Acharya Pramod Krishnam remarked that Islam teaches respect for women, but it seems Rashidi is unaware of this. He suggested that Rashidi should first become a true Muslim and understand Islamic teachings to learn how to respect women. While he may appear to be an Islamic scholar, Acharya Pramod Krishnam doubts that he comprehends the true values of Islam. If he did, he would not make such statements.

On the inclusion of non-Muslims in Waqf committees, Acharya Pramod Krishnam stated that any board formed under the Indian Constitution belongs to the nation. Every Indian has the right to be part of such boards and serve on them.
