Rahul Sinha Criticizes TMC, Claims Bengal Became a Hub for Criminals Under Previous Governments

Kolkata, July 11: Rahul Sinha, a Member of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), launched a fierce attack on the previous Trinamool Congress (TMC) government regarding law and order, health schemes, and alleged corruption in West Bengal. He stated that the BJP aims to free West Bengal from crime, violence, and anti-social activities, paving the way for peace and development.

Supporting the proposed West Bengal Public Safety and Control of Anti-Social Activities Bill, Sinha claimed that the state had become a center of chaos and crime during previous administrations. He alleged that foreign terrorists and criminal elements have been active in the state. This law, he asserted, would target the roots of crime, violence, and terrorism, establishing the rule of law in West Bengal. He expressed confidence that the state would soon rank among the leading states in the country in terms of peace and development.

During Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari’s visit to Baruipur, Sinha emphasized that meeting affected families during crises exemplifies humanity. By reaching out to those in need, the BJP is demonstrating its commitment to humanitarian values.

Regarding the Ayushman Bharat scheme, Sinha noted that the people of West Bengal have long been deprived of its benefits while citizens in other states have been reaping its rewards. He stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s intention is to ensure better healthcare services for everyone, and the previous government should have effectively implemented this scheme to ensure no one is left without treatment. However, it has now been put into action.

Sinha also accused Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee of hiding large amounts of black money in the name of the party. He suggested that as investigations progress, more revelations regarding this alleged black money will emerge, and the actual figures could be much higher than currently discussed.

He further mentioned that current efforts are showing improvements in controlling crime in the state. Sinha claimed that continuous actions are being taken against criminals, and efforts are underway to accelerate West Bengal’s development by ensuring the benefits of various welfare schemes from the central government reach the people.
