Noida, September 18 (Daily Kiran) : Authorities in Noida have apprehended a notorious suspect involved in a series of mobile phone snatchings. The Sector-113 police arrested the individual, identified as Puneet alias Prince, a 23-year-old, during a routine check near the FNG Cut on September 17, 2026.
Upon searching him, officers found a stolen mobile phone, alongside three additional phones believed to have been snatched from unsuspecting victims. The police also confiscated an illegal knife and a KTM Duke motorcycle used in the crimes, which was fitted with two fake license plates.
Investigators are probing whether the suspect used different plates to conceal his identity during the incidents. Puneet has a criminal record, with multiple cases of theft and robbery registered against him at various police stations, including one in Devband, Saharanpur, in 2021, and another in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, in 2024.
His current address is listed as C-2, Gali No. 16, Harsh Vihar, Delhi, while his permanent residence is in Neemka village, Jewar, Gautam Buddh Nagar. The police are now working to trace the origins of the recovered mobile phones and determine their connection to specific theft incidents, as well as investigate any potential accomplices involved.
