Taste of China Cultural and Tourism Event Held in Geneva

Geneva, September 19 (Daily Kiran) : The “Taste of China” cultural and tourism promotion event took place on September 18, 2026, in Geneva, Switzerland. The program featured themed presentations, cultural performances, food tastings, and interactive activities, highlighting the rich heritage and modern aspects of Chinese culinary culture to the Swiss community and international friends.

In his speech, Tswei Ke, a counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Switzerland and director of the Bern Chinese Cultural Center, noted the program’s popularity among the Swiss. He described “Taste of China” as a window to understanding China and a bridge connecting Chinese and foreign hearts.

Tswei also referenced the recently showcased Chinese food-themed film “Once Upon a Time in the Middle East,” urging attendees to strengthen cultural dialogue and people-to-people exchanges between China and Switzerland.

For the first time, an AI digital human named Olivia presented a special segment on Chinese cuisine. Developed by the cultural center, Olivia acted as a “food recommender,” taking the audience on a virtual journey through China, where they could experience diverse flavors from various cities.

During the cultural performances, artists from the cultural performance industry group of Guizhou Province in southwestern China showcased the vibrant colors of Chinese art through music and physical expressions. Additionally, the tasting area featured signature dishes from different regions of China, allowing guests to learn about the local cultures and traditions associated with these dishes. Many attendees found the event to be fresh and engaging, providing a lively and multi-dimensional experience to understand China better.
