Nishant Kumar to Enter Politics on Sunday, Begins Work on Monday: Sanjay Jha

Patna, March 8: Nishant Kumar, the son of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, is set to make his entry into politics after maintaining a distance from it until now. JDU MP Sanjay Jha confirmed that Nishant Kumar will join the JDU party.

During a media interaction in Patna, JDU MP Sanjay Jha stated that a meeting of the legislative assembly took place on Friday in the presence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. In this meeting, the participants requested the Chief Minister to bring Nishant Kumar into politics, a proposal that was accepted. Nishant Kumar will join the party on Sunday and will start working for it the following day.

Jha emphasized that Nitish Kumar has worked tirelessly for Bihar during his tenure as Chief Minister, holding the record for taking the oath of office ten times. He believes that Nitish Kumar’s contributions transcend any specific position. The Chief Minister has decided to take a seat in the Rajya Sabha, and the party stands firmly behind him. It was agreed upon just yesterday that Nishant Kumar would join the party and begin his work immediately.

Sanjay Jha expressed optimism about the future of Bihar and the JDU. He clarified that Nitish Kumar’s role is merely changing. During the session, Nitish Kumar will spend some time in Delhi but will primarily oversee work in Bihar. Therefore, there should be no misunderstanding that he has permanently relocated to Delhi; he will continue to monitor development projects in Bihar and provide guidance.

Regarding Nishant Kumar’s future role, JDU MP Jha mentioned that the party leadership will determine what position he will take and whether he will join the government in the future.

JDU state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha assured that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will remain in Bihar, guiding the party’s initiatives and the government’s actions. There has been a unanimous demand for Nishant Kumar to join the party, which has been accepted.
