New Delhi, October 13 (Daily Kiran) : A minor dispute escalated into a tragic incident in New Delhi, where a 29-year-old man, Daljeet, lost his life after being brutally attacked by bouncers and club staff. The confrontation began late Saturday night at a nightclub in the Sarai Rohilla area when beer was accidentally spilled on a woman, sparking a heated argument.
Witnesses reported that as tensions rose, the club’s bouncers began to assault Daljeet and his friends. Despite their attempts to apologize, the violence continued, reportedly involving club waiters who joined in the attack with sticks and glass bottles.
As Daljeet and his friends tried to leave the venue, they were pursued and beaten again, resulting in severe injuries to Daljeet. His friends rushed him to their home in Raghuveer Nagar, where he collapsed at the entrance.
Emergency services transported Daljeet to Guru Gobind Singh Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. He leaves behind a wife, an eight-year-old son, and his father.
In the aftermath of the incident, police initiated an investigation, leading to the arrest of five suspects, including four men and one woman. Authorities seized the nightclub’s CCTV digital video recorder, which is currently being reviewed to gather more evidence about the events that transpired.
DCP (North) Niharika Bhatt confirmed that the violence erupted during a celebration for the club manager’s wife’s birthday. The altercation began over the spilled drink, and following the fight, Daljeet returned home, where he later fell ill. His wife took him to the hospital the next day, where he was declared dead.
The investigation is ongoing as police work to identify and apprehend additional individuals involved in this tragic incident.
