Devas, October 14 (Daily Kiran) : As the fourth day of the Sharadiya Navratri festival unfolded, temples across India witnessed an overwhelming influx of devotees. Many gathered to seek blessings for prosperity and well-being, prompting enhanced security measures at various sites.
At the ancient Mata Tekri Temple in Devas, Madhya Pradesh, thousands of worshippers participated in morning rituals. Many stood in long lines, eagerly awaiting their turn to pay homage, chanting praises to the divine. Priest Suresh Nath shared insights, stating, “Today marks the fourth day of Navratri, and here, Goddess Kushmanda graces us with her divine presence. The goddess manifests in three forms throughout the day: childhood in the morning, youth at noon, and old age in the evening.” He emphasized the temple’s significance, noting that those seeking offspring often receive blessings from the goddess. “In just four days, around four to five lakh devotees have visited,” he added.
Meanwhile, in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, the historic ‘Shringar Chowki’ procession captivated attendees during Navratri. Organized by Shri Mahant Baba Hathiram Pajawa and Shri Pattharchatti Ramleela Committees, the grand procession drew large crowds. Elaborately decorated chariots featuring Lord Ram, Lakshman, and Goddess Sita were the main attractions of the event. The procession, accompanied by vibrant lights and traditional drum beats, continues to keep the centuries-old Ramleela traditions alive in Prayagraj.
One participant expressed their sentiments, saying, “This tradition has been ongoing for many years. Such a spectacle is rare elsewhere. Our parents brought us here when we were young, and now that we are older, we come on our own.”
