New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a charge sheet against two attackers connected with terrorist Arsh Dalla in the Neemrana hotel firing case.
The accused, Puneet and Narinder Lalli, who have been arrested, face multiple charges under the Indian Penal Code, Arms Act, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
According to an NIA statement, the Punjab-based shooters were involved in threatening the owners of Highway King hotel in Neemrana and demanding extortion by force. Notably, Arsh Dalla, a Khalistani terrorist residing in Canada, is wanted for his alleged involvement in several violent crimes and terrorist activities in India.
The attack on the hotel took place in September 2024 and was carried out by the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) terrorist-gangster syndicate, led by Khalistani terrorists Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dalla and the Bambia gang.
Members of the gang, Dinesh Gandhi and Saurabh Kataria, were identified as the main conspirators, with Puneet and Narinder executing the attack.
During the investigation, NIA officials revealed Puneet and Narinder’s role in using prohibited weapons and issuing threats on behalf of the gang. It was also found that the two continuously received funds, shelter, and arms from the syndicate.
On 8 September 2024, over 30 bullets were fired around the Highway King hotel in Neemrana, Rajasthan, with the apparent intention to terrorise and intimidate residents and tourists.
The case was handed over to the NIA a few months later. During raids at the accused’s and suspects’ locations, several electronic devices and objectionable materials were seized by the agency.
The NIA further stated that associates and affiliates of Arsh Dalla are engaged in violent acts to raise funds for banned Khalistani organisations through such extortion attempts.
