
Noida, April 2: Seema Haider, who moved from Pakistan to India, celebrated the naming ceremony of her newborn son in accordance with Hindu traditions on Thursday. This joyous occasion highlighted religious customs and social acceptance.
In an exclusive interview with a news agency, Seema shared that the naming ceremony was conducted through traditional Hindu rituals. She mentioned that a ‘Mata Ka Jagran’ (night vigil for the goddess) was held the previous night, followed by the naming ritual on the day of the ceremony. This event is significant in Hindu culture following the birth of a son. Seema expressed her happiness and gratitude, stating, “I feel very blessed.” She emphasized the beauty of Hinduism, noting that its traditions and small festivals foster love and togetherness.
Seema also remarked that there could be no name more beautiful for her son than ‘Bharat.’ She expressed her deep feelings for the country, wishing for its progress and success. Additionally, she shared that the local community has embraced her warmly, treating her like their own daughter-in-law.
Her lawyer and brother-in-law, A.P. Singh, confirmed that the naming ceremony strictly adhered to Sanatan Dharma traditions. He explained that during the vigil for Goddess Durga, the priest suggested several names, and ‘Bharat’ was chosen as the most fitting. Singh further noted that Seema has been residing in India for four years, during which she has received immense support from millions of people. He expressed gratitude to all supporters, stating that this ceremony reflects the depth of Indian culture and traditions.
