
Bhopal, May 9: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has entered power in West Bengal for the first time after winning the assembly elections. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated that with the formation of the new government, a new era of governance, security, and development has commenced in the state.
CM Yadav emphasized that West Bengal will truly become ‘Amar Sonar Bangla.’ Under the visionary guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of newly appointed Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, the state is set to reclaim its former glory and establish new benchmarks in overall development, investment, governance, and public welfare.
On Saturday, CM Yadav attended the oath-taking ceremony of the newly formed state government at Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata. The event was graced by Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and various senior central ministers, along with chief ministers from NDA-ruled states. During the ceremony, Suvendu Adhikari took the oath as Chief Minister.
West Bengal Governor R.N. Ravi administered the oath of office and secrecy to Chief Minister Adhikari and five other ministers of the new government.
CM Yadav extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Suvendu Adhikari for his new responsibility in public welfare. He also congratulated the dedicated grassroots workers and the vigilant citizens of West Bengal for this historic achievement.
