New Employment Opportunities Introduced by Gujarat Public Service Commission

Gandhinagar, July 17: The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has launched a new initiative called the ‘Avasar’ module aimed at creating job opportunities for talented candidates who did not succeed in competitive exams. This announcement was made by Sudhir Patel, Secretary of GPSC, during a press conference held in Gandhinagar.

Sudhir Patel explained that candidates who reach the interview stage in the GPSC recruitment process have passed both the preliminary and main exams. Although they may not succeed in the final selection, they are still considered capable. The ‘Avasar’ module is designed to provide these candidates with employment opportunities.

He elaborated that the module aims to connect candidates with job openings in public sector enterprises, private companies, and cooperative organizations in Gujarat and across India. This initiative will serve as a bridge, facilitating access to hardworking and talented candidates for these organizations.

To benefit from this program, candidates must provide their consent. Those wishing to share their details, such as name, mobile number, email, and educational qualifications, with relevant organizations must register their consent online via the GPSC Ojas portal. An OTP system has been implemented for security purposes. Over 18,000 candidates who were unsuccessful or on the waiting list in more than 415 Class-1 and Class-2 recruitment exams conducted in the last five years can submit their consent forms through this module. Future candidates will also have the option to give consent while filling out their application forms.

The GPSC Secretary assured that the commission is highly vigilant regarding data security. Organizations receiving candidate data will be restricted to using it solely for employment purposes. The responsibility for data security will lie entirely with the respective organizations. The GPSC will only grant controlled access to appropriate government departments, public enterprises, and recognized private companies. Additionally, the GPSC will act merely as a facilitator, and will not hold any official or legal responsibility regarding job conditions, salaries, or legal disputes arising from employment through this platform. Candidates are encouraged to visit the official GPSC website for more information.

Organizations will not be permitted to use the information provided for any purpose other than employment opportunities, nor can they share it with any other individual or organization. A binding assurance will be obtained from the organization regarding this, and the responsibility for data security will rest with them.

The GPSC will strictly adhere to data protection protocols. Only information such as the candidate’s name, mobile number, email ID, and educational qualifications will be shared with registered organizations. After receiving this information, organizations will select candidates they deem suitable based on their recruitment processes.

Candidate information will only be made available with their consent and willingness. For upcoming recruitment advertisements, candidates can provide online consent on the GPSC-Ojas portal while applying.

Candidates who were unsuccessful or on the waiting list in the GPSC Class-1 and Class-2 recruitment processes conducted in the last five years can benefit from the ‘Avasar’ module by submitting their consent forms online through the GPSC-Ojas portal.

Candidates will need to provide their advertisement number and confirmation number to give consent. Upon selecting the year of the advertisement, they will have access to all advertisements from that year. If a candidate forgets their confirmation number, a system to retrieve it has been established. To prevent unauthorized consent, an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID, and the consent process will only be completed after entering the OTP.
