The district administration has announced that small four-wheeled vehicles will be allowed to use the newly constructed Bailey Bridge starting at 11 AM on June 7.

According to officials, all necessary preparations for the operation of the Bailey Bridge have been completed. A thorough review of safety measures, traffic management, signage, and other essential arrangements led to the decision to open the bridge to the public.

To assess the bridge’s readiness, Bihar’s Minister of Road Construction, E. Shailendra Kumar, inspected the site on Saturday. During the visit, he provided necessary directives to the relevant officials. Bhagalpur’s District Magistrate, Dr. Nawal Kishore Chaudhary, was also present.

Additionally, Pankaj Kumar Pal, Secretary of the Road Construction Department, visited the site to review the progress of the work and available arrangements. Officials assured that there would be no technical or administrative hindrances to the bridge’s operation.

On Saturday evening, District Magistrate Dr. Nawal Kishore Chaudhary conducted a joint inspection of the Bailey Bridge with Senior Superintendent of Police Pramod Kumar Yadav. They assessed safety arrangements, traffic management systems, signage boards, and other necessary facilities. Officials received instructions to ensure that traffic flow remains safe and smooth.

The administration has urged citizens to adhere to traffic rules, respect the guidelines issued, and cooperate in maintaining a safe and efficient traffic system.
