New Book Chronicles Xi Jinpings Historic Fight Against Poverty

Beijing, March 3: A significant book titled “General Secretary Xi Jinping Leads the Fight Against Poverty” has recently been published by the Central School Press of the Chinese Communist Party and is being distributed nationwide.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, General Secretary Xi Jinping has provided strong and decisive direction for the CPC Central Committee. Under his leadership, the party and the nation have not only achieved remarkable accomplishments but have also witnessed numerous historical transformations. To document these historical processes in a factual and vivid manner, the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Central School have jointly launched a series of oral history collections and compilations. The first phase of this project focuses specifically on oral history interviews related to poverty alleviation.

Since the beginning of the new era, as global poverty has remained a serious challenge, the Chinese Communist Party has successfully completed the arduous and complex task of eradicating absolute poverty. This achievement has proven to be a satisfactory response for the people of the country and has garnered widespread attention and appreciation internationally. The publication of this book provides direct material to present the comprehensive and real story of poverty alleviation in China. Additionally, it serves as an important primary historical source to deepen research on poverty alleviation theories with Chinese characteristics.
