
Beijing, March 17: The spokesperson for the National Bureau of Statistics of China stated during a news briefing on Monday that, considering the economic conditions of the past two months, the next phase of the national economy is expected to maintain a trend of stable growth.
From January to February this year, production demand in China increased significantly. Key economic indicators showed marked improvement, laying a stronger foundation for economic growth.
In terms of external demand, China has expanded economic exchanges with various countries while adhering to mutually beneficial outcomes. The nation is committed to high-quality construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and actively promoting digital and green trade, thereby creating new opportunities for foreign trade development.
Domestically, the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan emphasizes the construction of new types of infrastructure and urban amenities. Plans are in place to enhance the income of urban and rural residents and boost service consumption to benefit citizens this year.
The leading role of innovation has strengthened. The rapid growth of emerging businesses has increased their supportive role in production. The application of new technologies, such as AI, has accelerated the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries while fostering the development of new enterprises.
A comprehensive economic plan was established during the Central Economic Work Conference of the CPC and the two sessions held this year. Fiscal expenditure is projected to reach 30 trillion yuan for the first time.
