New Delhi, March 18: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asserted that Iranian Revolutionary Guards chief Ali Larijani and senior Basij commander Gholamreza Soleimani were killed in an operation on Tuesday.
Netanyahu clarified that the objective of this action is to weaken the Iranian regime and provide the public with an opportunity to determine their future. He emphasized the importance of this operation for global security and regional stability, citing strategic cooperation with the U.S. administration.
He stated that with determination, strategy, and divine assistance, Israel is emerging as a formidable global power.
In a post on social media platform ‘X’, Netanyahu announced, “This morning, we eliminated Revolutionary Guards chief Ali Larijani, who truly runs Iran, along with Basij commander Gholamreza Soleimani. These are the individuals terrorizing the public in Iranian cities.”
He added that they are working to weaken this regime to give the Iranian people a chance to remove it. While the process will not be immediate or easy, he believes that persistent efforts will allow them to determine their destiny.
Netanyahu mentioned that this operation supports their American allies in the Gulf. He has discussed the matter with President Trump, highlighting mutual cooperation between their air and naval forces, as well as between himself and Trump’s staff. He indicated that they will apply pressure through indirect attacks and direct actions, with more shocking developments to come.
“Strategies are how wars are won. We will not reveal all our strategies here, but as I said, we have many,” Netanyahu stated.
He emphasized that the key to winning a war is determination—from the leader, the commander, and the public. “We are resolute in our victory and will achieve our goals,” he affirmed.
Netanyahu urged the public to completely disregard channels that spread despair. “With God’s help, we are achieving historic milestones. Since October 7, we have become a strong power, almost a global force, fighting alongside our global superpower friends.
