Kumaraswamy Demands Action in Sting Operation Controversy
H.D. Kumaraswamy leads a protest in Bengaluru, calling for swift action in the sting operation controversy involving Siddaramaiah.

Bengaluru, October 17 (Daily Kiran) : H.D. Kumaraswamy, the Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel, led a march in Bengaluru on Saturday, accompanied by hundreds of JD(S) workers. The protest was aimed at demanding immediate action and arrests related to a recent sting operation controversy.
During the demonstration, Kumaraswamy questioned former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s response to the incident, asking, “Doesn’t this make your blood boil?” The atmosphere became charged as the JD(S) supporters rallied outside the office of the Director General of Police and Inspector General M.A. Saleem. To manage the crowd, police set up barricades at the entrance, directing protesters to a corner where they continued to chant, “We want justice.”
After submitting a memorandum to Saleem, Kumaraswamy informed reporters that party legislators and former legislators participated in the march to draw attention to ongoing developments in the state. He accused the state government of turning a blind eye to the issue and stated that the memorandum contained detailed accounts of the controversy.
Kumaraswamy alleged that the sting operation aimed to tarnish Siddaramaiah’s image. He noted that Siddaramaiah was not present in the video that purportedly captured conversations among two or three individuals. He raised questions about the purpose of the recorded conversation and demanded clarity on the circumstances under which it was filmed.
Addressing the media, Kumaraswamy pointed out that the journalist featured in the video claimed to have conducted the sting operation. He questioned why the video was associated with Siddaramaiah’s name. Furthermore, he referred to comments made about a woman seen in the video and expressed concern over inquiries regarding her time spent with Siddaramaiah, asking, “Doesn’t this make your blood boil?”
Kumaraswamy expressed disappointment over Siddaramaiah’s lack of a suitable response to the controversy. He emphasized that this issue transcends individual concerns, reminding everyone that both leaders have previously worked together and politically opposed each other on key matters. He insisted that a serious response to this controversy is essential.
