Delhi Assembly Speaker Inaugurates Three Community Projects in Rohini

Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta launched five development projects in Rohini, emphasizing community safety and access to public spaces.

New Delhi, October 17 (Daily Kiran) : Delhi Assembly Speaker and Rohini MLA Vijender Gupta inaugurated five development projects in his constituency on Saturday. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring safe environments and accessible community spaces for residents.

Gupta emphasized that the impact of development should be measured not just by the number of projects, but by the improvements they bring to daily life. Every neighborhood deserves a secure environment, accessible community spaces, and infrastructure that meets residents’ needs.

During the event, he opened two newly constructed recreational centers at Shanti Apartments and Surya Apartments in Sector 13, along with a new boom barrier and entrance at Veer Apartments in the same sector. Gupta also laid the foundation for two additional recreational centers at Sundar Apartments in Sector 13 and Loknayak Apartments in Sector 9.

He stated that these projects are part of efforts to expand community infrastructure and enhance residential safety, with a focus on improving civic amenities in established residential areas.

Highlighting the significance of these initiatives, Gupta noted that urban development must move beyond traditional infrastructure to meet the social and recreational needs of residents. The new recreational centers will provide dedicated spaces for community gatherings, recreational activities, and social interactions, benefiting senior citizens, children, and families.

The boom barrier and entrance at Veer Apartments aim to strengthen security measures and improve the management of entry and exit in the residential complex. Gupta stressed that safe, accessible, and well-organized neighborhood facilities are essential for enhancing the quality of urban life.

Discussing the proposed recreational centers, he underscored the importance of creating shared spaces that promote social harmony and community participation. He added that expanding recreational infrastructure in residential colonies is a critical component of inclusive urban planning, enabling residents of all generations to engage in cultural, social, and community activities.

Gupta concluded by stating that such facilities should be designed and developed according to the needs of the communities they serve.
