
Muzaffarpur, June 19: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the prestigious NEET (UG) 2026 exam on June 21 at 13 centers in Muzaffarpur district. The examination will take place in a single shift from 2 PM to 5:15 PM. Additionally, candidates with disabilities will receive extra time, extending their exam duration until 6:20 PM.
To ensure a peaceful, fair, and misconduct-free examination, the district administration has completed extensive preparations. Under the guidance of District Magistrate Subrata Kumar Sen and Senior Superintendent of Police Kantesh Kumar Mishra, a sufficient number of magistrates, police officers, and security personnel have been deployed at all examination centers.
Officials have been instructed to arrive at their respective centers on time and remain vigilant throughout the exam duration to eliminate any possibility of disturbances or misconduct. A briefing was conducted at the district collectorate to inform officials of all necessary guidelines related to the exam.
During the briefing, it was emphasized that candidates are strictly prohibited from bringing any restricted items into the examination centers. If a candidate is found with any forbidden material, it will be considered misconduct, and action will be taken as per the relevant regulations.
The following items are completely banned inside the examination centers: any study materials, pieces of paper, geometry boxes, pen or pencil cases, plastic pouches, calculators, scales, writing pads, pen drives, erasers, log tables, electronic pens, scanners, or other stationery. Additionally, there is a complete ban on mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, smartwatches, health bands, and any electronic devices.
Candidates are also not allowed to bring wallets, purses, colored glasses, handbags, hats, watches, bracelets, cameras, jewelry, or any metal items into the examination centers. Furthermore, any food items, whether open or packaged, and water bottles are also prohibited.
The administration has issued a stern warning against anyone attempting to enter the examination center with hidden microchips, cameras, Bluetooth, or other communication devices. It has been clarified that the security of any items brought by candidates will not be the responsibility of the examination center. Therefore, candidates are advised to bring only essential documents to the exam center.
To ensure transparency and security during the NEET exam, modern surveillance systems have been installed at all centers. CCTV cameras, jammers, biometric verification, videography, and photography will be in place. Strict frisking will be conducted at the examination centers, with the administration closely monitoring every activity to maintain the integrity of the exam.
A special control room has been established at the district level for the successful conduct of the examination. Personnel have been assigned in three shifts to continuously monitor activities at all centers from the start to the end of the exam. The control room will promptly address any information and take necessary actions.
A total of 13 examination centers have been set up in Muzaffarpur district for the NEET (UG) 2026 exam. These include Chapman Government Girls’ High School, Hathi Chowk, Ramna; MDDM College, Mithanpura; Ramdayalu Singh College (Arts and Science Faculty), Ramna; Kendriya Vidyalaya, Gannipur; Lalit Narayan Tirhut College, Aghoria Bazar; Mukherjee Seminary, Harisabha Chowk; Nitiswar College, Ramna; Government District School, Water Tank; Mahesh Prasad Sinha Science College, Gobarsahi; Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Memorial (RMLS) College, Amgola; Langat Singh (L.S.) College, Chhata Chowk; and Tirhut Academy, Aghoria Bazar Chowk. All examination centers are located within the Muzaffarpur urban area.
District Magistrate Subrata Kumar Sen stated that maintaining the integrity of the exam is the administration’s top priority. All assigned officials have been directed to perform their duties with utmost vigilance, fairness, and responsibility.
Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent of Police Kantesh Kumar Mishra has provided necessary instructions to all police officers regarding security arrangements. He emphasized maintaining law and order around the examination centers. The District Magistrate has appealed to candidates and their guardians to cooperate by arriving at the exam centers well before the scheduled time, adhering to all guidelines, and ignoring any rumors or misleading information.
