New Delhi, May 11: Amidst the global energy crisis and rising international tensions, NDA leaders have expressed their support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to conserve fuel. The Prime Minister urged citizens to reduce unnecessary travel, limit the use of petrol and diesel, avoid non-essential purchases of gold, and adopt work-from-home practices wherever possible.
Supporting the Prime Minister’s appeal, JD(U) National Executive President and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Jha stated that despite international crises, India has managed the situation effectively.
He noted that tensions related to Iran have impacted the global oil and gas supply chain, particularly in crucial maritime routes like the Strait of Hormuz.
Jha remarked, “The ongoing conflicts around the world have affected India too. A significant portion of the world’s oil and gas passes through these routes. Nevertheless, the Indian government has managed the situation well, preventing any major crisis in the country. People still have access to petrol, diesel, and LPG at stable prices. However, managing a crisis of this magnitude and duration is not easy. Now that the Prime Minister has made this appeal, all citizens should adhere to it.”
Meanwhile, Bihar BJP President Sanjay Sarawagi also backed the Prime Minister’s call. He emphasized that the ongoing tensions between the U.S., Iran, and Israel, along with long-standing conflicts, have affected global energy supplies.
He stated, “There have been disruptions in petroleum products and energy supply. In light of this, the Prime Minister has urged people to work from home, avoid unnecessary travel and gold purchases, and minimize the use of petroleum products. This is a step taken in the interest of the nation.”
NDA leaders highlighted that due to the government’s strategic planning and better management, fuel supply in India remains stable for now. However, they acknowledged that global instability persists, making public cooperation essential for energy conservation and future stability.
