NDA Lawmakers Criticize Opposition Over Womens Reservation Bill Controversy

New Delhi, April 18: Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has targeted opposition parties regarding the Women’s Reservation Amendment Bill. He stated that they will face the anger of the nation’s women. He labeled the day as a “black day for the country,” claiming that such an important bill was dismissed under false pretenses.

In a conversation with reporters, Rijiju remarked, “This historic and significant bill, which aims to provide women a place in Parliament, raises the question: what objections could there possibly be? This important bill was sabotaged. I believe this day will be remembered as a black day for the country.”

Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh (Lalan Singh) added, “The Congress party claims that the bill’s rejection is a historic step. They view it as historic because they have undermined the empowerment of women and the Prime Minister’s efforts in this regard. Granting 33% reservation to half the population was a just move, but the opposition seems pleased to have rejected it, which reflects Congress’s character.”

BJP MP Damodar Agrawal stated, “The 131st Constitutional Amendment Bill was introduced in 2029 to implement 33% reservation for women. It also included necessary reforms from the 2023 ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ (Women’s Reservation Act).”

BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal expressed, “We will take to the streets to explain to women how opposition parties have blocked their rights in the Lok Sabha. We are confident that the women of this country will compel the opposition MPs to pass this bill within the next three months.”

BJP leader Shashank Mani remarked, “Congress should realize that 50% of the country’s population is outraged. What they declare as victory will actually be their defeat. Yesterday was a loss for the country, not a win for Congress. I fail to understand their rationale. We will continue to advocate for mothers and sisters and will bring this bill back for passage next time.”

BJP MP Dinesh Sharma stated, “If the opposition believes that they can celebrate the denial of women’s rights as a victory, they are preparing for a significant defeat.”

BJP MP Manan Kumar Mishra commented, “What the opposition leaders did yesterday is unfortunate for the country. They have revealed their intentions. Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, a great step was taken to ensure proper participation for women, which the opposition has thwarted. They do not want women to be empowered. In the future, women will teach them a lesson.”

BJP MP Ravi Kishan concluded, “The opposition has defeated the future of women. They are anti-women and are weakening them. Nothing could be more tragic.”
