Nakul Mehta Finds Serenity in Ladakh, Reflects on Lifes True Meaning

Mumbai, May 27: Television actor Nakul Mehta has recently returned from a serene getaway in the stunning landscapes of Ladakh. On Wednesday, he shared memorable glimpses from his beautiful journey on social media.

The Instagram post features photos of Nakul with his Ladakhi friend Gyatso, his beloved daughter Ruda, and the breathtaking scenery of the region. Through this post, the actor recounted his travel experiences in Ladakh.

Nakul revealed that he made a spontaneous decision to visit Ladakh in search of peace in life. He wrote, “I now travel to Ladakh every year, and this place has never disappointed me. Being amidst its landscapes makes one realize the beauty of this world, the true essence of life, and the insignificance of our small existence in front of nature. Visiting Ladakh helps me find my rhythm in life.”

He shared that at the beginning of his journey, he stayed at a stunning and tranquil spot called ‘Slow Garden.’ He mentioned, “At ‘Slow Garden,’ I spent time with my friend Gyatso, his lovely daughter Ruda, and their pets. Time passes so peacefully there. Gyatso cooks according to his daughter’s preferences, takes her to school, and even to figure skating programs. It’s hard to believe that this person also manages the busiest bar in Leh.”

Nakul recounted how, at Gyatso’s suggestion, he left his favorite book, ‘Greenlights,’ behind to join them for a picnic. He wrote, “On Sunday, Gyatso asked if I would like to go on a picnic with Ruda and the dogs. I made the tough decision to leave my book behind, and we all set off in his camper van. We were looking for a spot where we could sit, make ramen, and enjoy some beer. That day reminded me of my favorite Japanese film, ‘The Perfect Days.’ We were all together, immersed in our own worlds, occasionally discussing life and its meanings, playing in the sand, laughing, as if trying to understand life.”

He added, “Seeing Gyatso and his daughter Ruda filled me with hope and warmth. Before we left, Gyatso said something very beautiful. He mentioned that kindness is the greatest virtue for him. Since then, I have been reflecting on that thought. Perhaps that’s all we need in life. Maybe that is everything.”
