Naira Energy Slashes Fuel Prices, Customers Respond Mixed Reactions

New Delhi, July 1: Naira Energy, a private fuel distributor, has significantly reduced petrol and diesel prices. The company has lowered petrol prices by ₹5 per liter and diesel prices by ₹3 per liter at its fuel stations across the country. Customers have expressed mixed reactions to this decision.

Kishore Patel, the owner of a petrol pump in Rajkot, Gujarat, stated, “The company has now reduced petrol prices by ₹5 per liter and diesel prices by ₹3 per liter. The new rates announced by the company are very good. This decision is beneficial not only for us but also for our customers. It is a welcome move that will benefit everyone.”

He mentioned that petrol prices at Naira petrol pumps in Rajkot are currently ₹101.80 per liter, while diesel is priced at ₹97.63 per liter. He also noted that customer numbers at Naira’s petrol pumps are expected to increase following this decision.

A local resident commented, “Our government has not placed any burden on the public. Two months ago, I was abroad during wartime, and there was a ₹26 per liter increase in one day. In other countries, prices rose by 41%, while in our country, oil prices only increased by 10%.”

He added that this decision reinforces the notion that there is no country like India. He also mentioned that since the opening of the Naira petrol pump in his area, he has been buying fuel exclusively from there.

A young woman from Rajkot remarked on the fuel price cuts, saying, “The ₹5 per liter reduction in petrol is great for those who travel daily. Lower prices help people save money.” She also expressed confidence that as long as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in power, the youth will not face any issues.

Residents of Surat also reacted to Naira’s decision to cut fuel prices. Customer Kamlesh Modi said, “This decision doesn’t make much sense, as prices at Indian Oil petrol pumps are already lower. Petrol prices there are still around ₹97.50.”

He noted that when the prices of Naira and other companies are comparable, people will choose to buy petrol from any station, not necessarily from Naira.

Regular customer Ravi Ayyar shared, “I regularly fill up at Naira petrol pumps. We welcome today’s price cut.” Meanwhile, customer Ravikant Kherdia commented, “Previously, Naira’s fuel prices were higher than other companies. Now, with the price reduction, Naira has aligned its rates with competitors, which is good for the public.”
