Nagaland Governor Urges Youth to Embrace Innovation and Hard Work

Kohima, April 18: Nagaland Governor Nand Kishor Yadav emphasized the vast potential in sectors like tourism during a recent address. He stated that changing outdated perceptions about Nagaland is essential for progress.

On Saturday, students from Eden Higher Secondary School in Dimapur visited the Lok Bhavan in Kohima as part of an educational tour. During an interactive session with the students, the Governor highlighted the need for Nagaland to align with the nation’s goal of a ‘Developed India by 2047.’

He encouraged the youth to work hard, study diligently, and build self-confidence. The Governor remarked that hard work is irreplaceable for achieving success in life. He also advised that government jobs should not be the sole aim for young people; they should explore opportunities in innovation, entrepreneurship, and creative fields.

Emphasizing women’s capabilities, the Governor asserted that they are equally competent as men and should actively contribute to the state’s development. He underscored the importance of utilizing technology effectively, urging attention to its positive aspects.

Sharing insights from his public life, he recounted how he was inspired by Jayaprakash Narayan to join the student movement and later engage in public service. He stressed that the motivation for social service should come from within and that giving back to society is crucial.

The Governor advised the youth to stay focused on their goals, dream big, and pursue their aspirations with determination. Reflecting on his own student life, he mentioned overcoming challenges through hard work and strong willpower, making the visit an inspiring and enlightening experience for the students.

In another event, the Governor visited the Kohima Cathedral, one of the state’s major religious sites, symbolizing spiritual faith and community unity. He praised the church’s role in promoting peace, compassion, education, and service values within society. Renowned for its unique architecture and serene atmosphere, this cathedral represents Nagaland’s rich cultural heritage and faith.
