
New Delhi, June 4: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has achieved a Guinness World Record for the highest number of online quiz participants in a week through its youth engagement platform, “My Young India.” An official announced that a remarkable 390,812 participants took part in the quiz.
The certificate was awarded on Thursday at a ceremony held at Shram Shakti Bhawan in New Delhi, presented by Guinness World Records adjudicator Rishinath. The event was attended by the Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya.
According to a statement, this honor was given for the “Developed India Youth Leader Dialogue” quiz, which is a nationwide initiative aimed at enhancing awareness and participation among young citizens towards the goal of a developed India by 2047.
The statement further revealed that during the official evaluation period from October 25 to October 31, 2025, over 839,000 individuals participated in the quiz on this platform.
After a comprehensive verification process, which included an independent digital forensic audit and thorough examination of participation records, Guinness World Records certified 390,812 eligible participants, thus establishing a new world record.
The quiz, conducted through the “My Young India” portal, attracted over 5.04 million youths from all 28 states and 8 Union Territories, making it one of the largest digital youth engagement activities in the country.
Mandaviya congratulated the “My Young India” team on this remarkable achievement. He noted that the portal fulfills the aspirations of India’s youth, who constitute nearly 65% of the population under the age of 35. The trust shown by young people in this portal is evident, as it has recorded 21.9 million registrations in just three years.
Also present at the ceremony were Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Raksha Khadse, Secretary of the Youth Affairs Department Pallavi Jain Govil, senior officials from the ministry, representatives from Guinness World Records, and young participants.
Pallavi Jain Govil stated that the “My Young India” portal has emerged as a reliable platform for meaningfully connecting youth across India. She added that the portal offers numerous ways for young people to engage through natural and voluntary participation.
