Hyderabad, April 18: Ahead of the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Saturday, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) legend MS Dhoni interacted with the ground staff at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. His warm demeanor and willingness to take photos with them have won the hearts of fans.
CSK shared a video on the social media platform ‘X’, showcasing Dhoni engaging with the ground staff, smiling, and capturing moments together. This gesture reflects his humble nature.
Notably, Dhoni has not played any matches this season due to a calf injury. However, he traveled with the team for the first time this season ahead of the match against SRH. Recently, he was seen batting in the nets, hitting the ball cleanly and effortlessly clearing the boundary.
CSK also posted a video on Instagram, where Dhoni appeared to be in good form, further boosting fan excitement. However, it remains uncertain whether the 45-year-old will play in Saturday’s match.
In his IPL career, Dhoni has played 278 matches, scoring 5,439 runs at an average of 38.30 across 242 innings. He has hit 24 half-centuries and ranks sixth in the all-time leading run-scorers list for the tournament.
Currently, CSK is positioned eighth in the points table, having lost three out of five matches this season. After a rough start, the team made a strong comeback, securing victories against Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders.
