New Delhi, February 21: Senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi responded to protests by the Youth Congress during the AI Summit held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. He stated that Congress cannot tolerate India’s progress under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.
In a conversation in New Delhi, Naqvi remarked that the chronology of criminal acts is not coincidental but rather a calculated strategy. He recalled the events of 2015 when heads of state from 54 African nations visited India, coinciding with the ‘Award Wapsi’ campaign. He also noted that during the visit of the U.S. President in 2019-20, the media focused on the protests at Shaheen Bagh instead of the significant discussions between the leaders.
Naqvi pointed out that during the G-20 Summit, when the world came to India, Rahul Gandhi was spreading narratives about the Constitution being in danger. Now, with representatives from 20 countries at the AI Summit, Congress has resorted to disruptive tactics. He emphasized that they are struggling to accept that someone from a poor and marginalized background is advancing India.
The BJP leader asserted that while the Constitution guarantees freedom of expression, it does not permit chaos. He warned that if Congress continues its disruptive behavior and schemes to tarnish the country’s image, their prospects will remain bleak.
Regarding the new rule in Gujarat requiring parental consent for marriages, Naqvi expressed the need for simplicity and transparency in social concerns, emphasizing that the intentions behind such regulations by state or central governments are for societal welfare.
