Modi Discusses Regional Concerns with Israeli PM Netanyahu Amid Ongoing Conflict

New Delhi, March 2: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the phone regarding the ongoing conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran. Modi shared this information through a post on the social media platform X.

In his post, Modi stated that he discussed the regional situation with Netanyahu. He expressed India’s concerns about recent developments and emphasized that the safety of citizens is a top priority. Modi reiterated the need for a swift resolution to the conflict.

Earlier, on March 1, Prime Minister Modi also had a phone conversation with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), condemning the recent attacks on the Gulf nation. He expressed India’s solidarity with the UAE during these challenging times.

On social media, Modi wrote that he spoke with his brother, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to condemn the attacks on the UAE and expressed sorrow over the loss of life. He assured that India stands united with the UAE in these difficult times.

Modi also thanked the UAE leadership for caring for the large Indian community residing there. He expressed gratitude for their efforts in ensuring the well-being of Indians in the UAE and reiterated support for de-escalation, regional peace, security, and stability.

It is noteworthy that the ongoing conflict between the U.S., Israel, and Iran has been intensified by the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Following his death, Iran announced a 40-day mourning period. The nation has also raised a black flag at the Imam Reza shrine, while the Iranian embassy in India has lowered its flag to half-mast. Iran has called upon countries worldwide to strongly condemn the attacks by the U.S. and Israel.
