
Chennai, March 30: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has officially filed his nomination for the Kolathur constituency in the upcoming assembly elections. This marks his fourth consecutive attempt to secure a seat from this region.
The Election Commission has commenced the nomination process for all 234 seats in Tamil Nadu. Voting will take place in a single phase on April 23. Strict security measures are in place to ensure the nomination process is conducted smoothly across all constituencies.
Stalin arrived at the election office located on Paper Mills Road in Kolathur. He submitted his nomination papers to Returning Officer S. Shanti, accompanied by Minister Shekhar Babu and other party leaders.
A large crowd of party workers and supporters gathered to witness the event. Speaking to the media after his nomination, Stalin expressed confidence that the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) led alliance would emerge victorious. He reassured that no matter how tough the competition, victory would be theirs.
“The people of Tamil Nadu will once again place their trust in our government,” said MK Stalin, asserting his belief in a significant win. Following the nomination, he embarked on a roadshow in an open jeep, touring various areas of his constituency. DMK supporters lined the streets, waving party flags and cheering him on.
To showcase his government’s achievements, Stalin also released a booklet detailing the development projects and initiatives undertaken in the Kolathur area. This aims to inform the public about the work accomplished by the government.
Stalin confidently predicted that the DMK alliance could secure over 200 seats in the upcoming elections, indicating the party’s determination to win decisively.
