As of April 3, by 5 PM, a total of 2,463,678 farmers had successfully registered. Additionally, details of 16,249,634 plots have been recorded on the ‘Farmer Registry’ portal, paving the way for the digitization of agriculture in the state.

Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi stated that the ‘Farmer Registry’ aims to provide each farmer with a unique identification (ID). This will facilitate direct access to benefits from schemes such as the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi, crop insurance, and seed-fertilizer subsidies without intermediaries.
He emphasized the state government’s commitment to increasing farmers’ incomes and making agriculture more transparent and effective. All district-level officials have been instructed to expedite the registration of remaining farmers through camps and awareness campaigns, ensuring that no eligible farmer is left out of this digital initiative.
