Mumbai, March 30: India-based robotics company Milagrow has launched the Spaze Smart Autonomous Cleaning Robot, a cutting-edge solution for large indoor spaces. This innovative cleaning system aims to address challenges such as manpower shortages, rising maintenance costs, and the need for consistent hygiene in high-traffic areas.
The Spaze robot is designed for various environments, including malls, airports, hospitals, hotels, and corporate campuses. It combines five essential cleaning functions into one unit: sweeping, scrubbing, dust pushing, vacuuming, and mopping. This versatility allows it to effectively manage both dry debris and liquid spills commonly found in public spaces.
Notably, the robot features automatic carpet detection. When it encounters carpets, it increases suction power while disabling scrubbing and mopping to prevent moisture damage. A dual-roller brush system efficiently extracts dust, hair, and debris from carpet surfaces.
In terms of performance, the Spaze robot boasts an impressive suction power of up to 15,000Pa and can cover areas of up to 40,000 square feet. It operates on a 24V 40,000mAh lithium battery, offering a runtime of up to 12 hours per charge. Charging takes approximately 4 to 5 hours, and the device maintains noise levels below 70dB, making it suitable for use during operational hours.
Navigation is enhanced by RT2R 3.0 mapping technology, utilizing LDS LiDAR, wide-angle and ToF cameras, and ultrasonic sensors. These features allow for real-time obstacle detection and route adjustments in dynamic environments. The robot can maneuver through tight spaces, including corridors, elevators, and gated areas, while keeping minimal gaps from walls.
The Spaze system supports autonomous operations such as automatic water refilling, wastewater disposal, dust pad cleaning, and self-charging. It can resume cleaning after recharging and includes AI-based patrol cleaning to identify stains. Multi-unit deployment is facilitated through fleet coordination, and connectivity features enable remote monitoring, scheduling, and reporting via mobile and PC platforms, along with voice command support.
