
Mumbai, June 21: The Indian stock market has witnessed a significant surge due to a reduction in global instability, resulting in a market capitalization increase of ₹2.15 lakh crore for nine out of the top ten Indian companies.
During the period from June 15 to June 19, the Sensex rose by 1,274.95 points, or 1.69%, closing at 76,802.90, while the Nifty gained 390.20 points, or 1.65%, ending at 24,013.10.
Notable companies such as Bharti Airtel, LIC, Bajaj Finance, L&T, SBI, HDFC Bank, HUL, and ICICI Bank saw an increase in their market capitalizations. Conversely, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) experienced a decline in its market cap.
Bharti Airtel recorded the highest increase among the top ten companies, with its valuation rising by ₹52,432.67 crore to reach ₹11.63 lakh crore.
The market cap of the state-owned Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) increased by ₹51,675.23 crore, bringing it to ₹5.57 lakh crore, while Bajaj Finance’s market valuation rose by ₹26,553.71 crore to ₹5.99 lakh crore.
Reliance Industries also saw its market cap grow by ₹22,464.02 crore, reaching ₹17.72 lakh crore.
During the review period, L&T’s market cap increased by ₹21,929.12 crore to ₹5.79 lakh crore, and SBI’s market capitalization rose by ₹16,753.57 crore to ₹9.55 lakh crore.
Additionally, HDFC Bank’s market cap grew by ₹11,948.72 crore to ₹12.01 lakh crore, while Hindustan Unilever’s market cap increased by ₹6,661.10 crore, reaching ₹5.16 lakh crore.
ICICI Bank’s market cap rose by ₹4,724.22 crore to ₹9.66 lakh crore.
On the other hand, TCS’s market cap increased by ₹12,699.49 crore, bringing it to ₹7.69 lakh crore.
Reliance Industries remains the most valuable company in India, followed by HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, TCS, Bajaj Finance, L&T, LIC, and Hindustan Unilever.
