Mardani 3 Release Date Postponed to January 30

Mumbai: Yash Raj Films has announced a change in the release date of its upcoming movie Mardani 3. Originally scheduled for an earlier date, the film will now hit theatres on 30 January 2026.

The makers describe Mardani 3 as a gripping tale portraying the violent conflict between good and evil, focusing on Shivani’s extraordinary mission to rescue hundreds of missing girls across the country. The film promises intense action and a strong social message.

The Mardani franchise is recognised as one of Hindi cinema’s most successful female-led series. Over the past decade, it has garnered widespread appreciation for its portrayal of a fearless woman police officer. This series is also noted as India’s only franchise centred on a female cop.

In the third installment, actress Rani Mukerji returns as the brave police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy, known for her unwavering dedication to justice. The first film released in 2014 marked Rani Mukerji’s comeback to the big screen after her marriage, receiving critical and audience acclaim.

Rani Mukerji has already described Mardani 3 as a dark, deadly, and brutal edge-of-the-seat thriller, which has raised anticipation among fans and viewers on social media platforms.

The film is directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra. While the first Mardani film highlighted the harsh realities of human trafficking, and the second exposed the terrifying mindset of a mentally disturbed serial rapist challenging the system, the third part continues this tradition by exploring another dark and harsh social truth through its powerful and issue-based storytelling.
