Man Murdered During Morning Walk in Sahibganj, Police Launch Investigation

Sahibganj, October 4 (Daily Kiran) : In Sahibganj, Jharkhand, a man was brutally murdered early Sunday morning while out for his routine walk. The incident occurred near Mohanpur Chowk on the main road in the Radhanagar police jurisdiction.

The victim has been identified as Gaur Chandra Bagti, a resident of Mohanpur village. His bloodied body was discovered alongside the road, shocking local residents. Witnesses reported that Bagti regularly took morning walks in the area.

On the day of the incident, Bagti left his home for his usual stroll. It was during this time that unidentified assailants attacked him near Mohanpur Chowk, using a sharp weapon to inflict fatal wounds to his neck. He died on the scene due to severe injuries and excessive blood loss. The attackers fled immediately after the assault.

Local passersby discovered the body and promptly alerted the police and nearby villagers. Crowds quickly gathered at the scene as news of the murder spread. After confirming the victim’s identity, authorities informed his family about the tragic event.

Responding to the severity of the situation, the sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) of Rajmahal, Vimlesh Kumar Tripathi, along with police inspector Rajiv Ranjan, arrived at the site. They conducted an inspection of the area and began collecting evidence. A forensic team is also assisting in gathering crucial information from the crime scene.

Police are interviewing nearby residents to uncover potential motives and identify the attackers. The reasons behind the murder remain unclear, but investigators are considering all possible angles. They are also reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity to help identify suspects. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination as part of the investigation process.
