Lucknow, October 5 (Daily Kiran) : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced eight candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections from Uttar Pradesh. Following her nomination, Shruti Gangwar emphasized the importance of advancing the message of women’s empowerment.
In an interview, Gangwar stated that the party is committed to promoting a strong message of women’s empowerment. “We are making every effort to prioritize women’s voices and interests in our policies and decisions,” she said, while also honoring the legacy of Governor Santosh Gangwar’s dedicated service to Bareilly.
Another candidate, Priyanka Singh Rawat, expressed her gratitude to the central and state leadership. “As a party worker, I have taken on many responsibilities and learned a lot from the organization. I am determined to live up to the trust placed in me,” she remarked.
Vidya Sagar Sonkar, also a Rajya Sabha candidate, highlighted his journey as a grassroots party worker. He has served in various roles, including booth president and district president. “I want to convey to the people of Uttar Pradesh and the nation that the BJP stands firmly on the principles of social harmony and the ideology of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay,” he stated.
Prakash Pal shared his gratitude for the opportunity given to him by the party’s national leadership, including Prime Minister Modi and other senior leaders. “I come from a humble background, and I am thankful for this chance,” he noted, reaffirming his faith in his deities.
Pal took a jab at Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, suggesting that those advocating for the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) should clarify its true definition. He accused Yadav and the entire opposition alliance of living in a “dream world,” asserting that they have consistently lost in elections whenever the public voted against them.
Radhakant Ojha, a senior lawyer at the Allahabad High Court and another Rajya Sabha candidate, reiterated his commitment as a party worker from the booth level. “Our priority is the upcoming 2027 elections, and we aim to ensure that the BJP wins with a two-thirds majority,” he concluded.
