Lucknow, April 6: Singer Malini Awasthi expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Women’s Reservation Bill. In a recent conversation, she emphasized that when given the opportunity, women will demonstrate their capabilities effectively.
Awasthi stated, “On behalf of all women in India, I want to thank and express my appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We say our country acknowledges women’s strength. For a long time, women have not had the chance to voice their concerns in politics, but now that is becoming possible. A significant reason for this is that our Prime Minister is a strong advocate for women’s empowerment. Whether it’s the Ujjwala scheme or the construction of toilets in villages, or the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative, all these programs pay special attention to women’s interests.”
She added, “We have also seen that when women were given reservations at the grassroots level, they effectively presented their views. I believe that when women from any region enter the house, they will perform well, as women’s leadership potential is very strong.”
Famous T-Series singer Swati Nirikhi also shared her thoughts on the Women’s Reservation Amendment Bill. She believes that this bill will greatly benefit women without harming any political party.
Swati remarked, “When the news of the Women’s Reservation Bill passing came out, women across India celebrated. There was also joy in Prayagraj. If this bill is fully implemented, we will welcome it. Increasing the number of women in Parliament sends a positive message for India.”
She further commented on claims that the bill was introduced to hinder Rahul Gandhi’s chances of becoming Prime Minister. “I don’t think so. This will not benefit or harm any particular party,” she concluded.
