Major Fire Erupts in Factory in Ghaziabads Industrial Area, Prompt Response Averts Disaster

Ghaziabad, August 12: A sudden fire broke out early Wednesday morning at a factory located in the Pandav Nagar Industrial Area of Ghaziabad, causing panic among workers. Upon receiving the alarm, the fire department quickly mobilized and initiated rescue operations at the scene.

Thanks to the swift action of the fire department, the blaze was contained before it could spread to other sections of the factory or nearby industrial units. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or fatalities.

According to reports, the fire station at the Kotwali police station received a call at approximately 8:01 AM about the fire at Pride Enterprises, located at Khasra number 339 in the Pandav Nagar Industrial Area. In response, the fire service unit was dispatched immediately under the leadership of the fire officer from the Kotwali fire station. Given the severity of the situation, additional resources including water tenders and fire engines from nearby units were also sent to the location.

Upon arrival, the fire team found that a portion of the tin shed on the first floor had collapsed due to the flames. Several materials, including a pouching machine and broom covers, were ablaze. The fire was at risk of spreading rapidly, posing a threat to adjacent factories. Recognizing the urgency, the fire officer led the unit in a prompt firefighting operation.

Using MFE equipment, the team effectively deployed hoses to douse the flames from all sides. Firefighters managed to contain the fire within the first-floor area, preventing it from reaching other parts of the factory. Their coordinated and rapid response allowed them to fully control the situation within a short time.

After extinguishing the fire, the team conducted a thorough inspection to ensure there was no risk of re-ignition. They also ensured the safety of nearby industrial units.

During the incident, there was a brief moment of chaos among the factory workers and local residents, but the timely arrival of the fire department prevented the situation from escalating. Some machinery and materials within the factory were reported to have been affected by the fire.

However, there were no injuries or loss of life reported. The fire department’s quick response averted a potentially larger disaster. The presence of flammable materials, machinery, and electrical equipment in industrial areas poses a significant risk of rapid fire spread.
