Major Developments in Umaria: FIR Filed in 17-Year-Old Case and Murder Investigation Unveiled

Umaria, March 8: A significant turn of events has emerged in the toll contract case at the Masira Ghat on the Son River in Umaria district, Madhya Pradesh. The local police have registered a fraud case against the notorious accused, Amit Khampariya, in connection with this 17-year-old matter. He is alleged to have submitted forged Fixed Deposit Receipts (FDRs) to secure the toll contract.

The police have initiated an investigation following the registration of the case. Reports indicate that the accused has several serious criminal cases registered against him in various districts of the state. Allegations suggest that Khampariya manipulated bank-related documents to present fake FDRs, which were used to obtain the contract. After discrepancies were found during the initial investigation, the Umaria police filed charges against him for fraud and other offenses.

It has been revealed that Khampariya secured the toll contract by submitting falsified documents. The police action followed the discovery of these irregularities during the investigation.

Additionally, in another case, the police have made a breakthrough in a murder investigation. A suspicious body was found in a pond in the Akhdar area of the Chandiya police station jurisdiction. According to police reports, the incident is linked to a young woman. On March 2, Shivlaya Kol and Pankaj Kol, along with seven accomplices, allegedly murdered Jamuna Kol by the pond. The two primary suspects have been arrested and presented in court, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects.

The suspicious body of Jamuna Kol, a resident of Jhapi village, was discovered under mysterious circumstances, causing a stir in the area. Police investigations revealed that the murder was motivated by a dispute related to a romantic relationship. Jamuna Kol had left home on March 2 to talk with friends on his mobile and subsequently went missing.

Family members searched extensively for him, but to no avail. The discovery of his body in the pond prompted the police to launch a serious investigation. Utilizing technical evidence and interrogations, they unraveled the entire sequence of events.

The police have stated that the two main suspects, Shivlaya Kol and Pankaj Kol, were arrested and brought to court. Efforts to locate the other seven accomplices are ongoing, with police committed to apprehending them soon to fully resolve the case. The incident has left the local community in a state of fear.
